www.theguardian.comUK managers support the Employment Rights Bill.
The Employment Rights Bill is currently in its final stages of parliamentary debate, and will likely end up on the statute books in the imminent future.
It promises the biggest overhaul to workers' rights for a generation, ...bolstering day one protections and cracking down on zero hour contracts among other measures. Employees up and down the land will be relieved to hear these extra safeguards are on their way.
But here's the twist. Polling shared exclusively with LabourList has actually found the bill is widely supported among managers as well.
An overwhelming majority of those surveyed were positive about the changes, while also wanting additional training to support their employees in the workplace. Not only that, but a large share of them also recognised the good that trade unions can provide.
So for all the feather spitting from the right wing press about how the bill will spell armageddon for Britain's bosses, just remember – they support it too.

Reform councils are beset with chaos and local residents are paying the price.
Nigel Farage and his councillors made big claims about the money they would save, found they were wrong and are now cutting services and plotting council tax rises.
Local government was supposed to be... the blueprint for what Reform would do nationally. What we're seeing instead is division, grievance and broken promises.

The long-debated Renters’ Rights Bill has officially become law after receiving Royal Assent from King Charles.
What does this mean for tenants, landlords, and homeowners?
The Renters’ Rights Act is set to bring major changes to how renting works in England. It’s designed... to give renters stronger protections, but it will also bring new rules and responsibilities for landlords and letting agents.
One of the biggest changes is the end of Section 21 ‘no-fault’ evictions. This means landlords will no longer be able to ask tenants to leave without giving a valid reason. Campaigners have long pushed for this change, but the government says it won’t happen overnight. There will be a transition period to give landlords and property managers time to adjust.
However, it’s likely to take time before everything is fully in place. Many County Courts still need to prepare for a rise in eviction cases, as all future evictions will have to go through the courts, which is a process that could be longer and more expensive for landlords.
The Act also includes other key measures:
Awaab’s Law will now apply to private landlords, requiring them to fix serious health and safety issues (like mould or damp) within strict time limits.
A new national database of landlords and their properties will be created, improving transparency in the rental market.
A new housing ombudsman will be set up to handle complaints from tenants more easily and fairly.
For more details and other changes, please see our website.
Housing Secretary Steve Reed said that a clear timetable will soon be published, explaining when each part of the new law will come into effect, helping tenants, landlords, and agents prepare for what’s next.
For now, it’s a landmark moment for the rental market and a one that will shape how millions of people rent and manage their homes in the years ahead.
